Before & After Photos

What is a Stretchmark?

Stretch marks (also known as stria atrophica and stria distensae) occur in the dermis ie the elastic, resilient middle layer that allows skin to retain its shape. Stretch marks can occur anywhere on the skin when the dermis is constantly stretched, perhaps due to weight gain or pregnancy. over time the skin loses its elasticity and the collagen and elstin breakes, leaving the markings behind. Depenidng on ones skind colour, the raised striations may be pink, dark or reddish brown in colour but they may gradually flattern and fade in colour, becoming less noticeable over time.

The Root of The Problem

The real problems of stretchmarks lies in the dermis. The collagen has been damaged through stretchig and what should be a thick layer has become thin. An excellent answer to this problem is a simple, safe and inexpensive new technique, which preserves the epidermis and supports collagen deposition in the dermis called "PhotoLaser Rejuventation ". Dr Joseph Georghy is a world pioneer of this exciting technology. The detailed of the technique, equipment and biological effects are described under PhotoLaser Rejuvenation.
